Walking Lowers the Risk of Hip Fractures

A study of post-menopausal women found those who walked 8 hours a week at a moderate pace, cut their risk of hip fracture by 55%. Those who walked 4 hours a week had a 40% lower risk. Standing for 10 hours a week decreased the risk by 28% and over 55 hours a week decreased the risk by 46%.
