The Western Pennsylvania Association of Diabetes Educators (WPADE), was formed on September 5, 1985. WPADE represents 27 counties in Western Pennsylvania. The membership area is north to Erie, west to the West Virginia line, and to Somerset in the East. The organization offers networking opportunities along with four educational offerings per year. The group is active in relevant legislative issues.
WPADE is a local chapter of the American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE). The American Association of Diabetes Educators is dedicated to advancing the role of the diabetes educator and improving the quality of diabetes education and care.
